Our Story
More Than a Parade. A Community Tradition.
How a simple illuminated march became Logansport's most beloved holiday celebration.
How It All Began
The Light Up Logansport Parade has woven itself into the fabric of Cass County as a cherished tradition, held annually on the Friday after Thanksgiving to spark holiday excitement right after the family feast.
What began as a simple illuminated march designed to foster community bonds has blossomed into a full season of celebration. Hosted by the City of Logansport with partners like Logansport Parks & Recreation, Logan's Landing, and the Cass County Community Foundation, the event has grown year after year into something truly special.
Recent years have brought the first community tree lighting, new park decorations, live music, and Santa visits.
Its significance shines in uniting residents and visitors in small-town pride, preserving Logansport's heritage of warmth and creativity while growing into a must-attend event that signals the season's joyful arrival.
